Charney Manor, a thirteenth Century Conference and Retreat centre in Charney Bassett is delighted to announce that we will be recruiting for a Finance & Office Administrator to join our Operations team.
Working with a small, motivated, and supportive team, this Finance and office Administration role offers variety with a of duties and responsibilities. No two days will ever be the same. We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible team player who committed to delivering excellent customer service whilst having a strong background in Finance.
Role: Finance & Office Administrator
Salary: 28,000 - 32,000
Contract: Permanent, Full time
Hours: 37.5 hours a week
Location: Charney Manor, Oxfordshire
Responsibilities of the Finance
& Office Administrator:
Day to day management of all financial aspects of the Company
Taking ownership of all transactional processes (sales, purchasing, fixed assets, bank, receipts, credit card and expenses)
Timely payment of suppliers in line with payment terms
Management reporting, P&L, balance sheet and forecasting monthly
Quarterly preparation and completion of VAT returns
Checking company bank statements and management & reconciliation of on-line bank accounts
Management of Payroll - weekly and monthly, PAYE
Management of monthly pension payments, updating with new starters and leavers
Credit control & cash flow
Monitoring monthly sales forecasts and annual budgets
Weekly banking, petty cash, and reconciliations
Customer invoicing in line with contractual agreements and timescales
Updating staff financial records, Tax codes, holiday and sickness when required
care of administrative tasks, such as correspondence, filing, printing, ordering stationary, handling telephone calls and booking & conference enquiries.
Dealing with daily B&B check in's and outs, showing guests to bedrooms, dealing with queries, taking payment if required
Updating bookings calendar, client databases
Organising, managing and co-ordinating Quaker events and retreat
Booking, managing, and overseeing all aspects of the booking process for the Gillett's cottage, ie property checks, welcome baskets and inventory
Requirements of the Finance
Administrator:
P
revious experience within a financial or bookkeeping role is essential
Previous experience of Quickbooks online is advantageous
Flexible Approach and collaborative worker
Must have good attention to detail and ability to work calmly under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Excellent organisational skills and an ability to manage your time are essential.
Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload
Shift Patterns will be as follows :
8.30 am - 4.30 pm / 9.00 am - 5.00 pm ( monday to Friday)
10.00 am - 6.00 pm / 12.00 pm - 8.00 pm one night a week
9.00 am - 4.00 pm one Saturday a month (when working saturday will get one day off in that week in lieu)
Shift patterns will be flexible based on business needs. This will be discussed at interview.
