The Vacancy

We're seeking a highly skilled Qualified Financial Accountant to support the Head of Financial Reporting and Business Rates team to reconcile and deliver a business rates saving to the business. This role will support the Management Accounts Team with business rates reporting requirements.


You will:

Reconcile all balance sheet accounts for business rates including the accounts payable ledger, accruals and prepayments. Liaising with the business rates team and local authorities to ensure correct treatment for liabilities and refunds of business rates across the portfolio of buildings. Build efficient processes between the business rates system (Riverlake) and the financial reporting system (Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations) to ensure accurate monthly reporting on business rates.. Provide business partnering to the business rates team as required. Provide ad-hoc support to the Reporting Team as and when required.

This is a 1 month fixed term contract and will require you to work in the office 4 days a week.

What you'll bring

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Strong understanding and experience working in a REIT/property/real estate business Strong Microsoft Office skills Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
