Job Description

Reporting into the Chief Accountant, as a key member of the Finance Team, you shall be responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of month end results and completion of balance sheet reconciliations. This will include recording and analysing financial transactions and preparing reports that are used to support decision making.

You shall play an important role in supporting our overall business performance by advising on ways to reduce costs, resolve issues and improve processes.

Key responsibilities include:



Post financial transactions as part of month end process such as accruals and prepayments.

Analyse financial data to identify trends and patterns, using data to help others make decisions about actuals, budgeting and forecasting.

Support reporting of monthly results, including intercompany activity, to Group.

Responsible for stock accounting and understanding stock movements.

Partner with AP to understand GRN accrual and other invoice accruals to ensure these are fully supported and accounted for at month end.

Account for and reconcile provisions and contingent liabilities, including restructuring.

Proactively manage financial audit information requests.

Ensure balance sheet is reconciled each month.

Conduct P&L reviews with budget owners (v budget & forecast), provide own insights and expertise to drive business performance.

The Person:



Qualified Professional Accounting Qualification required. (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)

A proficient level of experience, post-qualification or newly qualified with experience in an equivalent role.

Strong technical skills with excellent attention-to-detail.

Can demonstrate strong mathematical and analytical skills over large amounts of data.

Knows what a good reconciliation looks like and demonstrates strong BS control.

Has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines.

This role is based from our head office in Aston. A hybrid working arrangement is in place, working a minimum of 2 days in the office with some flexibility required around month end.
