The role and responsiblities:

We are currently looking for a strong, confident and assertive Financial Accountant, who has the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a good sense of humour.

As the assistant to the Financial Controller, you will support with month end procedures and reconciliations together with providing analysis of financial information.

Assisting the Financial Controller with preparation of the monthly management accounts for 4 companies within the Group Pro-actively managing the AR process/accounts and credit control Assist with prepayments/accruals and journals, balance sheet reconciliations Review and maintain intercompany balances Maintain the accounts system Maintaining key financial documents in Excel Assist in VAT returns for 3 companies, including foreign subsidiaries Monthly payroll pack in preparation for the payroll department Month end intercompany invoicing Maintain fixed asset ledger Any other responsibilities as determined by the Financial Controller

Here's what we want from you:

AAT Qualified or relevant accounting qualification Experience of working with Excel The proven ability to meet deadlines High attention to detail and accuracy skills Good problem-solving skills along with the ability to use own initiative The ability to build good working relationships with managers across the business sectors Strong interpersonal and communication skills Able to build good working relationships with managers, internal and external stakeholders. Full, clean Driving Licence preferred, but not essential.
