An important new role where the candidate will help to support improving the efficiency of operations by advising managers about the financial implications of business decisions to aid growth and profit, preparing reports, budgets, commentaries and financial statements.#####

Main Purpose of Role:

To help managers improve decisions and improving the efficiency of operations by advising managers about the financial implications of business decisions to aid growth and profit, preparing reports, budgets, commentaries and financial statements.

Main Responsibilities:

Analyse current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures Key player in the month end process Trade compliance & reporting activities Support the Finance Manager with VAT return preparation, ensuring full compliance with tax reporting requirements Full ownership of cash flow forecasting & reporting. Detailed analysing of overheads Accruals/prepayments Lease accounting Warranty reporting Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected variance Supporting the development of junior accountants Implement and work with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives Analyse complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis Supporting audit (internal & external) Supporting divisional reporting (stat packs/tax packs) Support payroll reporting/P11D reporting & submission

Skills and Attributes:

Essential Skills:

To be able to work to a high level of accuracy, with good attention to detail Previous experience of a similar role Reliable, trustworthy and honest by nature Previous experience of accounting and payroll systems Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures Experience with creating financial statements Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process Excellent accounting software user and administration skills

Desirable:

Previous experience SAP/ERP/BI systems Polite and professional telephone manner Advanced knowledge of MS Excel A team player with a pleasant and affable personality

Qualifications:

ACA, ACCA or CIMA is ideal, but QBE will also be considered
