The Role:



This is a varied and hands-on role, where you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day financial operations, accurate payroll processing in line with UK legislation, and preparing financial accounts to support business decision-making.

We are seeking someone who can work full time, Monday to Friday within our head office between the hours of 9am and 5pm.

Key Responsibilities:



Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping in line with UK accounting standards. Process and administer monthly payroll, including PAYE, pensions (Auto-Enrolment), NI, and statutory payments. Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow reports, and financial statements. Complete bank reconciliations, VAT returns, and support HMRC submissions. Manage accounts payable and receivable functions. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and year-end financial reporting. Liaise with auditors, external accountants, and HMRC where required. Proficient in analysing financial data.

About You:



A minimum of three years' experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and financial accounting in the UK. You must hold the AAT qualification (Level 4 or above). Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, and HMRC requirements. Experience with accounting software and the ability to learn new software where required. Strong Numeric skills. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills. Ability to work independently while supporting wider business operations. Full clean driving licence with own transport and willingness to travel. Proof of right to work in the UK. Excellent Microsoft office skills. Intermediate level of Excel knowledge or above. Analytically minded.
