Reporting to
Group Financial Accountant
The role
The role will be pivotal in assisting the establishment of robust financial controls, accounting and compliance within the K2 Group of companies. Supporting the Group Financial Accountant and Group Financial Accounting Controller in embedding a new control function within the wider K2 finance group. There will growth and learning opportunities and will suit a candidate with a desire to expand their experience within financial control and compliance.
Main duties and responsibilities
Production of the Group ETB monthly with appropriate review of key reconciliations and associated evidence.
Overview and tracking of Month End / Year End timetables, deliverables and checklist across the carious Finance team.
Ownership of Group statutory adjustments e.g. transfer pricing adjustments
Statutory accounts co-ordination & production support across all entities
Assist with statutory audit preparation and ongoing support with auditors during audit periods
System maintenance and control over Sage X3 e.g. user access, period end functionality, year-end close process and ledger maintenance
Assist in implementation of new reporting and system developments to improve control and insight.
Maintenance of Group finance accounting manuals and process flows
Assist with ensuring all group compliance reporting is timely, accurate and complete
Co-ordination of central finance functions e.g. Insurance renewals
Central point of contact and co-ordination for regional operational licences and regulatory legislation
Centralisation and reporting of key financial information to support the business e.g. RFI's
Support the implementation, usage and development of SEI
Any other requirements of the role as directed by your manager
Experience: Skills / Abilities & Knowledge
Experience working within a Group finance team with multiple regions and currencies
Desire to grow and expand on current experience within a Group finance team
Previous exposure of financial reporting, Statutory Accounts, Group consolidation beneficial
Experience of meeting audit requirements and other external financial related information
A proactive, forward looking and challenging mindset
Detail focused with strong organisation and planning skills
Ability to interact with and develop working relationships internally and externally in order to achieve best outcomes for the business
Ability to meet deadlines and excellent prioritisation skills
Adaptable to change and works well under pressure
Excellent Excel and MS Office skills
Knowledge of accounting software (Sage X3 desirable)
Team player
Has K2Q qualities
Training and Education
Qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or qualified by experience.
