Purpose of the Job:
Support TPT's financial and investment accounting operations, produce statutory annual reports and take ownership of the audit process. Provide accurate financial information to internal teams and external stakeholders.
You will be responsible for:
Creating TPT annual statutory report including financial disclosures.
Preparation of quarterly VAT return and reconciling VAT accounts.
Provision of financial reports and information for employer pensions schemes.
Balance sheet reconciliations and overseeing of monthly reconciliation for TPT's Defined Benefit & Define Contribution investments, ensuring agreement with custodian and manager records.
Supporting financial accounting transactions, managing month-end processes and cash flows for individual pensions schemes
Posting monthly investment accounting data, posting of trading journals, reconciling bank accounts, and resolving discrepancies.
Handling accounting and allocation of investment-related costs and regulatory charges.
Developing and maintaining financial systems for efficiency and accuracy.
Supporting the development and improvement of accounting processes.
Assist in producing monthly MESAD data.
Collaborating with the wider finance team on various projects including coaching/guiding less experienced members of the finance team.
Skills & Experience:
Qualified ACCA, ACA, ICAEW or CIMA
Significant experience of financial and statutory accounting/reporting including cash flow forecasting.
Experience of Auditing or working with auditors within a regulatory environment.
Open on industry background (Pensions, Insurance or Financial Services is desirable).
Ability to produce financial reports for leadership.
Experience of identifying and implementing control and / or process improvements.
Experience of investment accounting is desirable, training will be provided.
