Job Description

Norwich City Football Club is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to play a key role in delivering timely, accurate financial reporting across the Club's operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to apply their expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced environment - and contribute behind the scenes at a club with rich heritage and ambition.

Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Perform monthly consolidation and completion of financial statements and support Reporting function with preparation of management accounts, ultimately contributing to production of executive finance report. Play key roles in both statutory audit and interim reporting, with ownership of the preparation of audit file, liaison with external auditors and tax advisors and delivery of our annual report and interim accounts. Assist in the preparation of workings and submission files for league reporting compliance. Contribute to the budget process, ensuring a smooth flow of information to achieve a timely and high-quality final budget. Ensure the integrity of internal reporting, including review and sign-off of balance sheet reconciliations and review of departmental performance summaries, produced by Reporting team. Lead on external compliance reporting, including submission of VAT returns and ONS surveys. Qualifications and experience:


A qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA) Strong analytical and financial reporting skills Proactive approach with excellent attention to detail Effective communicator and team player Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
