We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you'll support the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting, maintain the general ledger, assist with month-end and year-end close processes, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and audit requirements

Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger reconciliations
Assist in month-end and year-end close processes and internal/external reporting
Manage billing, invoicing, and accurate cash allocation
Perform financial reconciliations across systems (e.g., Sage, Propman) and payroll accounts
Monitor and manage VAT compliance, expense tracking, and balance sheet reconciliations
Oversee property-related schedules including rent, rates, service charges, insurance, and utilities
Lead efforts around debt recovery and credit control
Assist with audit preparation and respond to audit queries
Manage capital expenditure reconciliations and maintain amortisation schedules
Provide support during finance system transitions and upgrades
Ensure timely and accurate payment processing aligned with financial regulations
Required Experience & Technical Competencies
To succeed in this role, you should bring:
Part-qualified accountant status (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent)
Solid experience in a financial accounting or similar finance role
Previous experience in the property or real estate sector is highly desirable
Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and statutory reporting standards
Proficiency in accounting software (Sage and Propman preferred, or similar systems)
Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
