We're seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join us. You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and providing insight that supports data-driven decision-making across the company.

Role Responsibilities:



Responsibility of two Ltd companies within the group With support of an assistant management accountant, responsibility for the preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts to strict monthly deadlines including accurate reporting of stocks. Prepare month end accounts and leadership of efficiency improvement projects at site including activity-based costing and scenario planning. Maintenance of clean balance sheets for both entities, raising any risks or opportunities each month as part of monthly commentary. Ensure company compliance with relevant financial legislative and reporting requirements by continuing CPD and having awareness of any upcoming legislative changes with a view to incorporating where required in liaison with the Head of Finance. Point of contact for the business for VAT, Duty and Tax with respect to import/export activities. Oversight of entity budgets including planning and business partnering where required, feeding into the senior management accountant with a view to preparing consolidated group budgets. Maintain robust controls within the GDPR framework for any details held on finance systems. Contribute to internal control processes to ensure financial systems and processes are robust while offering ideas and suggestions for improvements linked to industry changes. Maintain and identify improvements to controls to safeguard financial processes. Ensure the accurate completion of monthly KPI's in conjunction with the team including any commentary and recommendations for improvement where appropriate. Undertake any project work required within the finance department or the wider business as and when required. Undertake any other relevant tasks as required.

Requirements



Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Proven experience in financial reporting, tax & duties, management accounting within the industrial, manufacturing or FMCG sector - desirable Strong understanding of IFRS / FRS Excellent communicator and strong partnering skills, ability to work effectively across diverse teams, with strong project management and governance awareness. The ability to converse and present complex financial information clearly to stakeholders and senior management. Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, with a particular strength in Excel. Knowledge and experience in stock accounting - desirable

Pay: 55,000.00-65,000.00 per year
