Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced Finance Admin Assistant with experience in Accounts payable and receivable to join our Finance team. You'll be part of a small team, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for a wide range of finance tasks and play a key part in the processing of weekly/monthly submissions to HMRC. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and experience in daily accounting procedures, and HR tasks. Have a proactive approach to problem-solving, contributing to the overall efficiency of our office environment.

The position is for part time hours on a permanent basis. 20 hours per week which can be flexible to suit the right person.

Duties



Processing sales and purchase invoices Bank transaction processing and reconciliation Assisting with payroll and VAT returns Supporting monthly management accounts and audit preparation Assisting with debt collection Processing and reconciling trade loans (training provided) Handling mileage, credit card, and expense claims Supplier statement reconciliations and payments Responding to customer and supplier queries via phone and email

Skills



Minimum 2 years' bookkeeping/accounts experience on Xero accounts software. Experience in processing VAT returns and payroll. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to priorities tasks effectively. Accurate typing skills for efficient data entry and documentation purposes. Previous clerical experience is preferred to ensure familiarity with office procedures.
