We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially focused Finance Analyst to support the regional finance team but also supporting the Jewson FC & FD.


What you will be doing:



The successful candidate will play a key role in analysing financial data, providing insights, and supporting decision-making processes to drive profitability and operational efficiency. You will also get great exposure to the overall Jewson accounts production.


Key Responsibilities:



Analyse daily, weekly, and monthly sales, margin, and cost data across branches and product categories. Provide insight into branch performance, highlighting trends, variances, and opportunities for growth or improvement. Assist in preparing management accounts, forecasting, and budgeting processes for both regional and brand Work closely with branch managers and operational teams to understand financial drivers and support with financial queries Develop financial models and tools to improve reporting, planning, and performance tracking. Support pricing and margin analysis across key products and supplier lines. Assist with inventory and stock control analysis to optimise working capital and reduce waste. Prepare ad hoc reports and presentations for senior management. Support in audits, compliance checks, and process improvement initiatives.

What you'll need to have:



Previous experience in a Finance Analyst, Management Accountant, or similar role, ideally within the construction supply, retail, or distribution sectors. Strong analytical and commercial acumen. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, dashboards); Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong interpersonal and communication skills - able to work with non-finance colleagues across multiple branches. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field. Studying towards or qualified in a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is desirable but not essential.
