The Job:

Financial Analyst

Reports to:

Financial Controller (UK)

Member of:

Finance

Hours of Work:

08:00 - 17:00 (flexibility to allow for USA requirements)

Location:

Woodford Halse, Northamptonshire, NN11 3UB



The Role:



Assist with budgeting, forecasting and new project analysis.

Helping Finance with stock analysis, stock valuation, internal stock audits and month end stock reporting.

Own Engineering reporting including PO analysis to plan, project reporting and business partnering.

Own Operations monthly reporting including budget vs actuals and month-on-month reporting.

Assist with month end journals, reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.

You will be the go-to individual within finance for BOM management, forecasting & cost analysis.

Fixed Asset management, including monthly postings and keeping the register up to date.

You will be able to become a stock system super user and answer any questions on the system.

Assist with yearly compliance activities such as the annual audit and R&D work.

Who are we looking for?

You will ideally be data driven, with a strong background in data analytics, an understanding of basic finance is also a major plus.

As one of our Team you will naturally have an understanding and appreciation for manufacturing and brand requirements.

We work in a fast-paced environment so the ability to act under pressure with calmness, clarity of thought and decisive authority is crucial.

You may need to travel to off-site supplier facilities, within the UK and throughout Europe, therefore a flexible approach to travel is required.

You may need to adapt your working hours to meet the requirements of the business and integrate with the USA.

You will have the determination to drive forward the business to 'Best-in-Class' performance standards in line with brand expectations and be a lateral thinker able to think outside of the box to make structured and objective decisions

Other traits of a successful Singer employee will include excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and excellent attention to detail



Requirements:



Stock experience and knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics Demonstrable experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally from with the automotive industry Excellent proficiency in all MS packages inc. Advanced skills in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint & other finance data management and modelling tools Full, clean driving licence

The role is predominately based from our Woodford Halse head-office facility with the flexibility to work remote dependent on business requirements.

Requirement Essential Desirable

Education, training and qualifications Good general education, with a broad exposure to office procedures and software packages. Finance qualification or started finance qualification.

Skills & knowledge

Used to working on your own initiative with the interpersonal skills to develop cross-functional relationships.

Microsoft Office skills, with at least Intermediate Excel and Word knowledge.



Advanced Excel and data knowledge would be a distinct advantage.



Use of basic accounting systems such as Netsuite/QuickBooks/Sage.



Experience

Used to working in a small office and team environment where close relationships with colleagues are key.

Used to dealing with customers, suppliers and employees.



Manufacturing business understanding, especially in the automotive sector.



Personal Attributes

Personable and approachable, with a good telephone manner. Good team-player with a flexible approach. Willing and able to help out where required. Resilience. Eye for detail.



Abilities

Able to communicate clearly by email, telephone and face-to-face with people at all levels.

Inquisitive.

Ability to work to deadlines.

Other requirements Need to be well presented and portray a professional image. Full and clean driving licence.
