You will be reporting to the Financial Controller. Your main responsibilities will include: supporting the FC with accurate and timely financial reporting of operating expenditure (including cost analysis, processing accruals, budgeting/forecasting etc.) and having good communication with site managers; being a PO superuser and overseeing the PO system data to ensure PO processes and disciplines are being adhered to; providing support in other areas, such as operating leases, financial reporting for pallets and processing G/L bank payments.
This role is a minimum 30 hours per week.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the accounting of Production & Warehousing costs (including hygiene & cleaning, waste disposal, pest control, laundry, bin cleaning, production consumables, equipment hire, FLT costs, warehouse repairs, pallets and external warehousing)
Business partnering with managers of those areas
Budgeting/forecasting of those areas
Operating Leases - Keeping operating lease schedule up to date. Liaising with sites when contracts are coming up for renewal. Creating a new process for new leases (approval form using Docusign).
Pallets - supporting with the financial aspects of any new development in this area
Being a purchase order superuser (main port of call for PO queries), including communicating with users/site managers/site coordinators with regards to purchase orders and working with the ERP Application System Analyst to resolve any issues
Resolving historical PO items and maintaining the data to a clean standard
Ensuring that PO processes and disciplines are being adhered to (timely receipting of PO's/correct narratives & dates etc.)
Making ad-hoc payments through the bank.

Part qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA with a good understanding of Purchase ledger/PO's
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
Strong excel skills are essential, Microsoft D365 experience would be an advantage
Experience of analysing information and interpreting data
Good communication skills, demonstrated by working with a range of stakeholders
Experience in a manufacturing company would be an advantage
