The Job Role



Westcoast is seeking a Financial Claims Analyst to join our dynamic team in Theale. This is a full time role (37.5 hours per week).

As the UK's largest technology distributor Westcoast facilitates large volumes of pass-through promotional claims between our customers and vendors.

In this role you will manage these claims whilst ensuring we maintain accurate records of each stage of the claim, receiving relevant credits from our vendors and passing them onto the customers in a timely manner. Due to the potential working capital impacts of mismanagement this is a pivotal role in Westcoast to ensure Westcoast is not funding this debt on behalf of our customers.

You will collaborate strategically with both internal and external stakeholders, manage multiple processes, adhere to stringent deadlines whilst, ensuring precision and promptness. Utilising your excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, you will submit claims and sellout data to our vendors, maintain financial trackers, provide regular updates on financial standings, while resolving discrepancies efficiently.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:



Claims Management: Oversee and maintain multiple financial trackers, ensuring meticulous management of financial claims. Raise invoice and credits, post on Sales ledger, manage ledger reviews to minimise aged debt.

Vendor Relations: Liaise with vendors to prepare, submit, and reconcile claims, fostering strong relationships to guarantee timely reimbursements.

Customer Relations: Working with our key retail customers to obtain all data relevant to any claim.

Dispute Resolutions: Where claims are rejected, work across all parties to final resolution.

Process Improvement: Experience in developing and refining processes and controls.

Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in weekly review meetings, offering transparent updates on claims and debt statuses, and advocating for outstanding claims.

Innovation Contribution: Engage in project work within the finance department to discover and implement new efficiencies and business opportunities.

Versatility: Tackle ad-hoc tasks with agility, showcasing your adaptability to the evolving needs of the business.

To be successful in this role you will have some of the following skills and experience and the desire to develop in other areas:

Claims Expertise: Experience in managing claims with a track record of success.

Technical Proficiency: Exceptional skills in MS Office, particularly Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, IF statements), and familiarity with Power BI is a plus.

Strong communicator: Proven ability to articulate complex information to stakeholders at all levels.

Detail-Oriented: Great attention to detail, with an aptitude for identifying data anomalies.

Logical Approach: Systematic and logical in task execution and decision-making.

Analytical Mindset: Skilled in analysing and interpreting sales data.

Curiosity & Learning: A proactive approach to questioning, learning, and continuous self-improvement.

Team Player: Strong collaborative skills, great time management; a demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
