Key Responsibilities
Oversee all day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and revenue recognition.
Review/prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow, and detailed board reports.
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, VAT, and HMRC submissions.
Review monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
Work with team to prepare and manage budgets.
Supervise and mentor the finance team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and professional growth.
Strengthen internal financial controls and streamline accounting systems and processes.
Work with the Statutory accountant to ensure smooth audit cycles.
Provide insightful financial analysis to support senior leadership in strategic decision-making.
Assist the FD on projects and ad hoc tasks as necessary
About You
Qualifications and Experience:
Fully qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager, ideally within construction.
Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards.
Demonstrated leadership ability with experience developing and mentoring finance professionals.
Skills and Competencies:
Proficient in accounting systems , with knowledge of Dynamics a benefit
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
High attention to detail with exceptional organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
