Job Description

What is your role?



The Financial Controller oversees the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department and provides financial information as required to support the wider business. The role ensures the complete and accurate capture and reporting of all company financial transactions. Robust commercial review of financial information is required to ensure costs are controlled and operational process adhered to protect the company's financial security. The role requires a hands-on approach and spans the end-of-the-end finance processes of the company.

What are your responsibilities?



Overall responsibility for the company's financial operations including all bank transactions, management of accounts receivable, accounts payable and company assets. Manage financial reporting and budgeting processes. Implement financial policies and procedures. Analyse financial data to support operational decision-making. Preparation of monthly management accounts including review of all monthly journals, schedules and reconciliations. Overall responsibility for monthly payroll and company pension scheme. Preparation and submission of HMRC returns including VAT and Corporation Tax. Principal liaison with external auditors and tax advisors for annual financial audit, preparation of financial statements and corporation tax return. Building relationships with non-finance colleagues within the business offering a finance perspective on operations and issues where appropriate. Improve processes/key controls to prevent errors in reporting while driving efficiencies where possible.

What are your qualifications?



CIMA qualified or Professional accounting qualification Strong financial management and reporting expertise. MS Excel Proficiency. Proven practical application of technical accounting and tax knowledge. Strong commercial acumen. Detail orientated with strong organisational and interpersonal skills. Accurate data management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 60,000.00-65,000.00 per year
