Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This role involves overseeing and managing budgets, preparing monthly management accounts, liaising with external accountants, handling invoice processing, reconciling the bank accounts and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial forecasting and experience with accounting software and Excel

Key Responsibilities:

Record and manage day-to-day financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency. Paying suppliers invoices. Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely and compliant manner. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to maintain a healthy cash flow. Prepare and manage individual project budgets, providing financial insights to support strategic planning. Liaise with external accountants and support year-end financial processes. Produce monthly management accounts and financial reports for internal review. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.

Key Skills & Experience:

Proficiency in accounting software( preferably Xero) and Excel Strong understanding of accounts payable/receivable and core financial management principles. Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to the Managing Director and other stakeholders. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday Salary: Based on pro rata Eligibility: Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 35,730.35-40,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
