Location: Remote (although you will be expected to travel to our growing portfolio)

Salary: 50,000 + Employee Incentive Scheme

We're Sea Lanes - a bold, community-led leisure hospitality business that's all about open water swimming and creating incredible experiences! Since opening our first site in Brighton in June 2023, we've been making serious waves on the seafront, and we're just getting started.


With our second site opening late 2025 and a third scheduled for summer 2026, we're growing fast and we need a brilliant Financial Controller to help steer our exciting journey. This isn't your typical finance role - this is about being part of something truly special where nature, wellness, and hospitality come together!

Own the Numbers



Oversee all financial operations - from accounting and budgeting to forecasting and reporting Develop and implement financial strategies that keep us ahead of the game Prepare and present accurate, timely financial reports that tell our growth story Monitor and analyse performance, spotting trends and opportunities like the champion you are

Drive Strategic Success



Coordinate the annual budgeting process - aligning our ambitious goals with smart financial planning Manage cash flow like a pro - forecasting, monitoring, and optimising our liquidity Ensure accuracy and integrity of all financial records and systems Handle tax planning and compliance - keeping everything shipshape and compliant

Build Powerful Relationships



Develop strong partnerships with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities Provide financial leadership to support our Managing Director and Board Lead and motivate the finance team, creating a culture of excellence and continuous improvement Present complex financial information clearly and confidently to stakeholders

About You...




More than anything, we're looking for a finance professional who brings energy and excellence to everything they do:

Your Expertise Shines



Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) is highly desirable Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role (leisure/hospitality experience is a bonus!) Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and analysis

Your Skills Impress



Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail Proficient in financial software (especially Xero) and Excel wizardry Outstanding communication skills - you can make complex numbers tell compelling stories Demonstrated leadership with experience managing and developing teams

Your Style Inspires
