Job Summary

We at The Dragon Group are seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organisation, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth. This role requires strong leadership abilities and expertise in financial management, accounting software, and reporting.

Responsibilities

Assist with the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable . Maintain accurate records of financial transactions. Update and assist with financial databases and spreadsheets. Prepare and monitor budgets. Track expenses against budget allocations. Assist with preparation and monitoring of budgets. Track expenses against budget allocations. Support with preparation of financial reports, summaries, and statements. Assist in internal and external audits. Identity and resolve discrepancies. Keep up to date with changes in financial legislation and best practice. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with regulatory requirements. Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero for efficient financial management.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within a finance department. Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively. A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
