The Business-IT centre of excellence ("CoE") is the combination of a number of acquisitions by Fluidone across different areas of the UK. Focused on IT services to SME to mid-size businesses, Business-IT is now a series of different branches rebranded as "FluidOne Business IT".
Role overview:
Following a number of successful acquisitions in recent years, we are now looking for a strong Financial Controller to continue to drive the Finance function of the combined Business IT CoE forward. This will involve partnering with the various Branch business leaders and production of high quality, accurate financial information, with a strong focus on balance sheet control.
You will be a detail orientated individual who will thrive on working with a business to support their needs and help achieve their ambitions. Working across various teams, this role will suit an individual who is able to translate finance to non-finance individuals and work harmoniously with senior and junior individuals alike. The group and the CoE is as fast -paced environment, so the ability to thrive under pressure and to drive performance in the team will be a key attribute.

Key responsibilities will include:
Division level
Lead on the production and continued development of management reporting for BiT ensuring compliance with deadlines, working closely with the Group Finance Director
Lead and advise on key performance areas within the month, driving a close meeting with local management and group management that clearly articulates the key issues in financial performance of the CoE.
Working in conjunction with business management to communicate financial results at CoE board meetings and more widely across the Group.
Business partner the CoE senior management team and wider business to enable operators have line of sight to performance and take actions as required
Work closely with the group business planning function to produce the annual budget for Business IT CoE, together with quarterly reforecasts
Own the control environment, ensuring best in class controls are in place and adhered to
Manage the team (both direct reports and other resources) to meet reporting deadlines
Produce and review a weekly forward looking cashflow to help manage the operational cash flow of the business
Manage a team of transactional finance professionals
Oversee the management accountants for the Enterprise IT division as required
Support the business and Finance Project lead on mini-system implementations to standardise some of the operating and financial systems across the CoE
Completing and maintaining Balance Sheet reconciliations
Supporting the centre/ Group
Support any requirements of the annual audit (note, the individual statutory entities have been hived up in to Fluidone and so do not require an ongoing audit but may form part of the group sampling on a go forward basis)
Support the Group with all tax related queries related to the BiT CoE, including VAT and corporate tax
Requirements
Qualified accountant or qualified by experience with a comprehensive knowledge of double entry
Ability to manage and develop the Finance teams (incl. line management of at least two staff) across the CoE.
Ability to work without constant supervision in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multi-task
Clear communicator and support to team (hands on) and ability to communicate with senior managers/directors
Process and controls driven individual
Previous knowledge of NetSuite would be advantageous but not essential
Trouble shooter that can solve problems independently
Cashflow/debtor and creditor management
Intermediate knowledge of excel and powerpoint
