Established in 1996 The Double A Trading Company Ltd are leading equipment suppliers to the Scottish ground care industry, supplying a wide range of new and used machinery from our locations in Fife, Aberdeen and Glasgow. We are John Deere Dealers, a world leader in the supply of agricultural, turf, construction and forestry equipment.
We supply equipment to some of the worlds most famous golf courses, stadiums and landmarks as well as local authorities, homeowners and estates.
Responsibilities would be:
Managing cash position within the business
Produce monthly management accounts
Oversee the payroll process
Completion of VAT returns
Involved in the business leadership team
Produce business budgets/ forecasts
Operational involvement when required
Requirements
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role in financial management.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including accounts payable processes.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent platforms.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Exceptional communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred; professional qualifications (e.g., CA, ACCA, CIMA) would be an advantage.
This role would suit a qualified chartered accountant or someone who is part qualified but has experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 35,000.00-50,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 - 35.5 per week
