About the Role



As Financial Controller, you will oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and efficient processes across our property business. You'll work closely with senior management to provide insights, support decision-making, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the business.

Key Duties



Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and cash flow

Maintain and develop effective internal controls.

Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies that align with business objectives.

Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary documentation for audits.

Provide guidance and support to finance team members to aid their professional development.

Liaise with auditors, pension advisers, insurers, banks and regulators.

About You



Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within a finance department.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management practices.

Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Staffology, CPL, SME, or similar platforms.

Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work collaboratively across departments while managing multiple priorities effectively.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.

A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are advantageous.
