We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our growing group of companies. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of all of the businesses within our group, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions. This position requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong background in financial management. We currently use our accountants for all VAT Returns and Payroll aswell as Bookeeping and since our businesses continue to grow we believe we have an opening for a focused and knowledgeable person to streamline our businesses.
Duties
Manage the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
Manage Payroll for all companies in the group (95 employees)
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Implement and maintain effective financial controls and procedures to safeguard company.
Prepare budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against targets throughout the fiscal year.
Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure successful completion of audits.
Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero for efficient financial management and reporting.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within a finance department.
Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Exceptional communication skills to convey complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred; professional qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA are advantageous.
