Job Description

We're looking for a full-time Financial Controller to join on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role that will report to and work directly with the Finance Director, and manage the day-to-day financial operation of the business. This role is suited to an experienced Financial Controller who enjoys leading a team, working at senior level, and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. The Job




Key responsibilities include:

Managing the day-to-day financial operation of the business Leading month-end close and preparing all financial reporting, both internal and external Treasury management, including daily cash management and maintaining cashflow forecasts Contributing to quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting Leading the annual audit process Ensuring a strong financial control environment and full compliance with accounting and tax requirements Managing the monthly payroll processing and reporting Line managing existing finance team (1 person) and building out a best-in-class finance function Driving improvements and efficiencies in financial controls, systems, and processes Building strong relationships across the organisation and collaborating with other departments to help meet the financial objectives of the wider business Supporting the Finance Director with strategic projects including international growth, fundraising and acquisitions Acting as deputy to the Finance Director at internal and external meetings

Requirements



The Person




Ideally, we're looking for someone with the following:

Fully qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Experience of a similar role within a fast-growing e-commerce, D2C or FMCG business Proven track record in financial leadership and team management Strong understanding of compliance, audit and tax requirements Ability to build controls, optimise systems and automate processes - you'll have experience identifying and addressing inefficiencies with scalable, automated solutions Meticulous - you'll be responsible for ensuring all output from the finance team is accurate and tailored to the audience Commercial - identifying opportunities for cost savings and improved cashflow management Experience leading a system migration is advantageous
