Proclaim Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead our accounting operations within a dynamic professional services environment. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with the ability to manage multiple businesses/brands and collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.

This is an office-based role, requiring the successful candidate to work from our office in Hamilton, Glasgow. Hybrid working is available.

Responsible for the oversight and delivery of annual budgets, business plan and revenue forecasting.
Develop cash flow forecasting and maintain a long-term cash forecast and cash flow management.
Acting as a key partner to the Group Leadership Team in all strategic and operational areas of the business.
Perform and present financial data and performances to the Board of Directors.
Supporting the business in senior commercial negotiations with current and potential suppliers and partners, with responsibility for legal and contractual agreements and supplier relationships.
Monitoring and assessing operational and other business workflows of the organisation from financial perspective for better ROI, KPIs and efficiency
Support the preparation of Year-end statutory accounts and associated transactions, reports and returns
Ensure compliance with industry-specific financial regulations and standards
Manage internal controls and ensure the integrity of financial data
Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors
Support the CFO with financial strategy, risk management, and decision-making
Develop and mentor the finance manager, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and customer service excellence
Implement and maintain financial systems and process improvements tailored to professional services workflows
Person Specification:
In order to be considered for this position, you must have:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) required
Significant progressive experience in accounting/finance, including proven leadership capabilities
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (UK GAAP/IFRS)
Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Sage, NetSuite, SAP, or similar ERP systems)
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Preferred Attributes Experience in the professional services industry (e.g., legal, consulting, accountancy practice)
Strong project management and change management skills in a customer-focused environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting with multiple stakeholders
Excellent organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail
Confidence with utilising IT software packages
The ability to work independently and as part of a [multidisciplinary] team
