64,000 - 70,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Financial Controller

About the Role



We are seeking a

hands-on, detail-driven Financial Controller

who truly understands the numbers and thrives on uncovering the stories they tell. You'll take the lead in shaping our financial processes, designing meaningful KPIs, and producing the data and insights that guide key decisions.

A major part of your role will be leading the weekly forecasting for our

GBS (Growth By Sharing)

program -- a companywide initiative that connects performance, productivity, and profit-sharing across the business.

This is an

office-based position

, with working from home considered only in exceptional circumstances.

Key Responsibilities



Take ownership of all financial management and reporting activities across the group. Build and refine financial processes, controls, and reporting structures that support business growth. Develop and track

meaningful KPIs

to measure performance and drive operational excellence. Produce

weekly forecasting figures

for the GBS program to inform productivity and profit-sharing decisions. Partner with operational and leadership teams to interpret data, identify trends, and highlight opportunities for improvement. Deliver accurate and timely management accounts, cashflow forecasts, and variance analyses. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements, and internal governance. Support strategic planning, budgeting, and investment analysis. Continuously review and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Build and create systems and processes that enable job-by-job profitability visibility and different business silos profitability.

About You



Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with solid post-qualification experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills -- someone who loves to "get into the detail." Experience in creating and embedding financial processes and performance metrics. Commercially minded, able to translate financial data into practical business insight. Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; experience with ERP or accounting software is a plus. Excellent communicator -- confident working with stakeholders at all levels. Hands-on and adaptable, with the drive to make a tangible difference in a growing business. A team player who aligns with the family values and client-centred ethos of our organisation.
