What you will do

We are looking for a finance controller with experience in marketing investments. To begin with, the finance controller will play a key role in both owning the business control and financial operations within the Brand Domain. They will also assist with the rollout of the new Investment Council process and continued maintenance of the CMO Marketing Investment Tracker, driving a more structured and efficient process for evaluating, approving, reporting and following-up on marketing investments within Klarna.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the financial processes of the Brand domain (accruals, staffing plans, financial planning, recurring & ad hoc reporting, etc)
  • Hold recurring sessions with leaders in the domain to have an in-depth understanding of domain spend, both YTD Actuals & YTG Forecasts
  • Work collaboratively with the Brand Domain to dig into the financials and strategically assess the business impact on key KPIs of investments
  • Maintaining the CMO Investment Tracker and training cost owners to understand and use this tool to more accurately capture and report costs
  • Training cost owners on financial processes (forecasts, accruals, coding)
  • Go to expert for financial questions
  • Contact point with the rest of the business for financial/controlling matters (Financial Steering, Accounting, Business Control)
You should have
  • A degree from a university in a numerate subject (e.g. Economics, Science, Accounting or Business)
  • 2+ years of experience in controlling (business or financial), financial planning & analysis, or similar analytical roles
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
  • SQL/Python experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Positive and solution-oriented mindset and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical skills, willingness and capacity to learn new things.
