We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our team.

Role summary





The main purpose of the role is to provide comprehensive oversight and management of financial processes, including audits, reporting, treasury, tax compliance, and intercompany financial management, while fostering strong relationships with external advisors to ensure high standards of financial integrity and compliance across the organisation.







As the Financial Controller, you will:

Provide audit oversight and ensure high-quality and timely submission of accounts. Manage the monthly and quarterly group reporting processes for Kaplan Inc and GH, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Oversee the treasury function, implementing robust control measures to ensure effective cash flow management. Oversee VAT and corporation tax reporting processes and lead the development and implementation of tax rules, ensuring compliance with evolving tax laws. Take responsibility for managing intercompany invoicing and balance reconciliation to maintain financial integrity. Lead and maintain relationships with external tax advisors and the GHC team to ensure effective collaboration and compliance.

What you'll bring to the role



Proven ability to lead and deliver successful continuous improvement projects within the finance function. Strong understanding and application of US GAAP, with a focus on compliance and best practices. Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a finance team towards achieving strategic objectives. Experience in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of building strong relationships with internal and external partners.
