The Opportunity
In the beating heart of London, a pioneering hospitality and lifestyle brand--redefining luxury co-living, workspace, and leisure--seeks a visionary
Financial Controller
to architect its financial future. This is your chance to join a dynamic, fast-growing enterprise that blends the energy of a members' club with the sophistication of high-end hospitality.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you'll wield significant influence over financial strategy, systems innovation, and team development. This role offers unparalleled autonomy to shape a finance function poised for exponential growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership:
Own month-end processes, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning. Present insights to leadership, guiding high-stakes decisions in a rapidly evolving landscape.
Systems Transformation:
Revolutionize financial infrastructure--optimize Xero, Mews, and Payhawk integrations, design scalable processes for new site launches, and pioneer tech-driven solutions (AI tools welcome).
Risk & Control:
Safeguard the business through robust payment controls, fraud prevention, and meticulous supplier management.
Team Development:
Mentor and upskill a talented finance team (3-4 reports), fostering a business-partnering mindset to support house managers and operational leaders.
Growth Enablement:
Create agile financial frameworks for multi-site expansion, ensuring seamless reporting across diverse landlords and sub-brands (gym, workspace, F&B).
Essential:
Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
with audit/statutory accounts expertise.
Proven People Leadership:
Experience managing finance teams in high-growth environments (e.g., scaling from 1 to 5+ sites).
Systems Pioneer:
Track record of owning financial tech stacks (Xero preferred) and driving transformation.
Industry Background:
Hospitality, F&B, multi-site retail, or consumer brands--bonus points for boutique/start-up energy.
Personality:
Extroverted, socially adept, and relentlessly adaptable. Thrives in chaos, solves problems creatively, and radiates positive energy.
Desirable:
Experience in property management, co-living, or luxury lifestyle sectors.
Passion for community-driven brands and operational innovation.
The Culture
Vibrant & Social:
Quarterly CEO-hosted parties, summer BBQs, Christmas events, and an "entertainment budget" that fuels unforgettable team experiences.
Agile & Entrepreneurial:
No two months are alike--expect constant change, creative freedom, and the thrill of building something extraordinary.
Inclusive & Huggy:
A tight-knit, socially charged team where introverts need not apply. Think siblings, not colleagues.
