We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance while ensuring the integrity of our financial systems. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in various accounting software. The Financial Controller will play a crucial role in supporting strategic decision-making and driving the financial performance of the organisation.
Duties
Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Manage budgeting processes, including forecasting and variance analysis.
Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely processing and reporting.
Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies that align with business objectives.
Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary documentation for audits.
Provide guidance and support to finance team members, fostering their professional development.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within a finance department.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management practices.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments while managing multiple priorities effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are advantageous.
