Key Responsibilities as a Financial Controller:
Oversee all aspects of financial management including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and audit compliance.
Produce accurate monthly financial statements, including profit and loss and balance sheet.
Monitor financial performance and provide detailed analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, tax regulations, and industry best practices.
Review departmental spending, cost control measures, and identify savings opportunities.
Support the General Manager and senior leadership team with financial insights and business planning.
What we are looking for:
Essential: Previous experience as a Financial Controller in a hotel environment.
Excellent communication skills.
Relevant financial qualifications.
Working knowledge of financial software programmes.
Confident and positive attitude. Attention to detail and outstanding organisational skills.
Experience producing and interpreting reports.
Desirable but not essential: Opera Cloud knowledge.
Experience of taking accounts from trial balance to management accounts.
