Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management and accounting, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is pivotal in guiding our financial strategy and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Duties



Manage the overall financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable standards. Oversee accounts payable processes to ensure timely payments and accurate record-keeping. Manage monthly income reconciliations within the companies back office CRM (CURO) Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations. Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies that align with business objectives. Conduct regular audits of financial processes and systems to identify areas for improvement. Prepare reports for stakeholders that provide insights into financial performance and operational efficiency. Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process to facilitate a smooth review. Assist with the integration of acquired businesses to the core business.

Experience



Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within a dynamic business environment (desirable). Would consider recently qualified individual holding a relevant accountancy qualification but lacking proven experience in role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including experience with accounting software, preferably Oracle NetSuite. Demonstrated expertise in financial management, budgeting, and forecasting techniques. Familiarity with accounts payable processes and best practices. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial reporting. Ability to work collaboratively across departments while managing multiple priorities effectively.
