Location: Hythe and Lymington

Fibre Mechanics is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead our finance function and support the growth of our boat-building business. You'll play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and strategic decision-making, with a focus on manufacturing and project finance.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning. Implement cost accounting systems and monitor manufacturing KPIs. Manage inventory valuation and cost controls. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain strong internal controls. Partner with project managers to drive efficiency and profitability.

Requirements:

Degree in Accounting/Finance (CIMA or equivalent preferred). 5+ years' experience in a senior finance role, ideally in manufacturing or marine industries. Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and Sage50. Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills. Experience with project-based accounting is an advantage.
