THE OPPORTUNITY
As our Financial Controller you will:
Own the day-to-day financial operations
end to end both sales and purchase ledgers.
Manage payroll
, attendance, HR admin, and holiday schedules
Oversee vehicle management
and their drivers compliance.
Control cashflow and credit control
, ensuring customers move smoothly from order ? manufacture ? installation ? payment
Produce and present monthly management accounts
, including P&L, accruals, prepayments, and month-end journals
Run all payments
, ensuring accuracy, authorisation, and forward visibility
Ensure all company compliance
, controls, reconciliations, VAT, and reporting accuracy
Partner directly with the MD
-- advising, challenging, and supporting decisions
You will run the finances, of Company and all projects with confidence and independence. We expect seniority, ownership, and accountability.
ABOUT YOU
You'll excel here if you are:
A
self-managing finance professional
with solid experience in end-to-end accounting
Confident producing management accounts, journals, accruals, forecasts, and reconciliations
Strong with
payroll
, HR-related processes, attendance and holiday management
A natural organiser who can control information, deadlines, and processes
Clear, calm and confident with customers on the phone
Able to push and control payment schedules with professionalism
Highly accurate with excellent written English
Fluent in
Excel
and competent with
Sage
Capable of operating as the financial backbone of a busy manufacturing company

The accounts part of the role here is 'end to end' by which we require your service to take the finances from purchase ledger input, Payrun and into to Sales ledger invoice raising.
The role then immediately demands a strong and senior applicant.
Authoritative and accurate direction to the team and clients in authorising project funding.
Confident and strong phone manner to direct customers, make funding requests, control late payments and project completion monies.
Collaboration with the team and sharp understanding of project progress.
