We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management, spreadsheet modelling and accounting, with proficiency in various accounting software including Xero.
This role is pivotal in growing and scaling the current business.
Responsibilities
Oversee all financial operations, including, forecasting, decision modelling and reporting.
Manage, cover leave and busy periods support accounts assistant / book keeper.
Prepare a model to assist the forecasting and decision making and scenarios.
Daily monitoring of marketing spend and returns.
Marketing funnel conversions, track and identify trends.
Ensure financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
Manage property portfolio investment decisions.
Make financial savings in business operating costs.
Increase revenues from bad debts and missed income opportunities.
Analyse capital expenditure and property projects.
Look for all opportunities of efficiencies in time and money for finance function.
Suggest systems and process improvements to scale and grow.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within a finance department.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly in relation to accounts payable.
Proficiency in accounting software Xero.
Excellent spreadsheet skills to create models from scratch.
Interests in marketing spends and determining returns from customer relationship tools - GHL (no experience necessary) but the ability to interrogate non-financial activity data to calculate returns on marketing spends.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.
Exceptional communication skills for liaising with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
A degree in Finance, Accounting, qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
