About the Role

We're looking for an experienced

Financial Controller

to oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensure compliance, and deliver accurate, insightful reporting to senior leadership. This is a hands-on and highly visible role at the heart of our business.

Key Responsibilities

Lead on monthly management accounts, board reporting & statutory compliance Oversee all finance operations: AP, AR, payroll, banking & cash flow Manage VAT compliance (including partial exemption) and liaise with HMRC Support budgeting, forecasting & strategic financial planning Mentor and lead the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability Drive process improvements, automation, and scalable financial governance Manage and mentor the finance team, ensuring strong performance and development.

About You

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Significant experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role (SME background desirable) Strong technical knowledge and financial reporting. Hands-on approach with a balance of technical detail and commercial awareness Previous experience with Business Central required and advanced Excel Leadership, communication, and stakeholder management strengths
