We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our growing team in Oldbury. This is a high impact role which will lead financial operations, financial reporting and business partnering in a fast paced and growing company.

Financial Control and Compliance
Take ownership of the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger, ensuring it reflects a true and fair view of the company's financial position and underpins all financial reporting.
Develop the monthly and annual reporting structure to ensure clear and accurate communication of financial information.
Lead the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
Oversee the accurate preparation and timely submission of all statutory filings, including but not limited to VAT and CIS returns, ensuring full compliance with HMRC and other authorities.
Support the payroll process, ensuring accurate payroll accounting and timely reporting.
Ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards. Serve as the primary point of contact for auditors and regulatory bodies.
Strengthen internal controls and drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Strategic Finance & Business Partnering
Act as a trusted finance partner to senior leaders across operations, commercial, and project teams
Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario planning to support informed decision-making across the business.
Provide financial insights and analysis to inform pricing strategies, ensuring profitability and competitiveness.
Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements that drive financial efficiency while supporting business growth.
Cash Flow Management:
Develop and maintain detailed cash flow forecasts to support strategic planning and liquidity management, proactively identifying and addressing any potential cash flow challenges.
Monitor and manage working capital components--including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory--to improve liquidity and support operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders--including auditors, suppliers, customers, and HMRC--to support business operations and maintain strong financial
ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified with 3+ years experience in Financial Controller role.
Extensive experience of VAT regulations, CIS, payroll procedures, and financial compliance.
Confident in cost control, audit preparation, financial compliance and reporting.
Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines under minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining financial accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients and team members.
