We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations and ensure the integrity of our clients financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management and accounting.
A growing company specialising in stone masonry, hard landscaping and bespoke materials. We are currently looking for an experienced, financial controller to help us take the business to the next level.
This role will take charge of day to day financial activity in the business:
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Reporting to external Qualified Accountant for Monthly Board Reporting
Carry out payroll operations using BrightPay Manage
Invoicing and payment reconciliation
Ensure timely payments to suppliers and contractors
Manage and run monthly payroll process
Support payroll record-keeping and liaise with external accountants
Generate cash flow reports, monitor expenditure, and support budgeting
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure prompt and accurate invoicing
Liaise with insurers or third-party partners as needed regarding payments and records
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero is essential.
Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

Requirements
Proficiency in BrightPay and Xero a plus
Experience with ERP software and accounting softwares
Minimum two years experience in bookkeeping
AAT or ACCA accreditation or be working towards accreditation
Organised and detail focussed
Skilled with office software such as Excel and Word
Good communication skills
Ability to reliably commute to Great Milton, Oxfordshire
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: 30,000.00-34,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
