About Us


HNP Ltd is a long-established manufacturer and e-commerce business supplying personalised house signs, letterboxes and bespoke products across the UK. We are seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to take ownership of our finance function and support the business through its next stage of growth and operational improvements.

The Role



You will have full responsibility for managing the company's day-to-day and strategic financial activities, ensuring accurate reporting, strong cash control and compliance. This is a key role working closely with the Directors and wider management team.

Key Responsibilities



Prepare and manage

weekly cash flow forecasts

and monitor daily cash position. Produce

monthly management accounts

, including commentary and variance analysis. Lead on

budgeting and forecasting

, supporting strategic planning and cost control. Complete and submit

VAT returns

accurately and on time. Maintain and reconcile accounts within

Xero

, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up to date. Work with our funder regarding invoice finance submissions, reconciliations and audit requirements. Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control. Support payroll processes and liaise with external accountants as required. Implement improvements in financial processes, reporting and efficiencies. Provide financial insights to assist decision-making across the business.

Skills & Experience Required



Proven experience in a

Finance Manager / Financial Controller

role. Strong working knowledge of

Xero

and ideally invoice-financing platforms. Excellent understanding of cash flow management, budgeting and management reporting. Experience preparing VAT returns and liaising with HMRC. Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work independently, prioritise workload and meet deadlines. Confident communicator able to work closely with senior management.
