Financial Controller (SC Cleared)
Location: Home Based/Theale
1 Year Contract (Inside IR35)
Rate: \xc2\xa3400 - \xc2\xa3500 per day

We are looking to recruit an SC Cleared Financial Controller for a reputable police force based in the South of England. The Financial Controller will provide financial management services in support of a large construction Programme (value of circa \xc2\xa3100m). You will work with the construction Cost Controller to monitor contractor spend and update the programme budget profile and forecast spend.

This will primarily be a home based role with some office based work in my client\'s office local to Theale (1/2 days a week).

This is an excellent contract opportunity for someone who has the experience of setting up the financial process/governance and reporting format in a project environment. My client have a process in place but it needs something more at programme level to help build a complete picture of the programme finances and support the wider business with reviews of the information being provided to ensure this is accurate.

• Commercially astute, strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
• Extensive experience of programme and project accounting
• Understanding of public sector (preferably Central Government) accounting principles and financial planning requirements including business case development
• Understanding of financial planning combined with the ability to effectively support programme related budgets
• Experience in financial modelling and the development of programme to project level cost
• Experience in carrying out reconciliations, transactional and statistical analysis.
• Experience in costings, formulating budgets and preparing financial management reports for a large construction project
• Qualified CCAB accountant, or working towards CCAB
