Financial Controller



Overview:



We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller to join our team.

The Financial Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing all financial aspects of the business, ensuring accurate reporting, efficient processes and compliance with financial regulations. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the company's success by providing strategic financial insights and guiding financial decision making. Reporting directly to the Managing Director to help improve the financial performance of the business.

Responsibilities:



1. Financial reporting



Prepare and present timely and accurate financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets and cash flow reports.

Analyse financial data to provide insights into company performance, trends and opportunities on companywide, departmental and product basis,

Monitor KPI's and provide regular updates to management.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting



Develop and manage annual budgeting processing coordination with management

Create detailed financial forecasts and variance analysis highlighting potential risks and opportunities

3. Financial Analysis & Strategy



Develop and monitor performance measurements (against industry KPI's) and plans to assist management in the financial implications of business

Conduct thorough financial analysis of financial performance, projects, product lines and business initiatives to support strategic decision making

Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements to enhance profitability

Assess investment opportunities and provide financial evaluations of potential projects

4. Cash Flow Management



Monitor cash flows and working capital to ensure the business has adequate liquidity for operations and growth

Implement strategies to optimise cash flow

5. Financial Compliance



Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting standards

Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed

Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and communicate implications with management

6. System and Process Improvements



Continually assess and enhance financial systems and processes to streamline operations and ensure accuracy

Implement best practices to strengthen financial controls and litigate against risks

7. Team development



Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, provide guidance, mentoring and support to others within the team

The successful candidate will have:



Proven experience (5+ years) as a Financial Controller or similar role, preferably in a related industry



Full ACCA qualification



In depth knowledge of accounting terms and concepts,



Understanding of finance regulations and legislation,



Knowledge of business strategy and methodology,



Clear analytical and critical thinking skills, organisational skills with specific attention to detail.



Strong proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting



Experience of ERP systems and financial software applications



Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and reporting to senior management



High level of integrity, ethics and motivation



Hours:



25-30 hours per week, within the core office hours of 7.30am-5.00pm Monday - Friday, attendance everyday is required.

It is a requirement of this position to be site based.

Salary is negotiable and dependant on experience

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week
