Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organisation, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining robust financial controls. This role requires a deep understanding of financial management principles and proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero. The Financial Controller will play a crucial role in guiding financial strategy and supporting the overall business objectives.

Responsibilities

Manage the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide insights into the company's financial performance. Oversee accounts payable processes to ensure timely payments and accurate record-keeping. Implement and maintain effective financial controls to safeguard company assets. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial analysis and support for decision-making. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards. Lead the budgeting process, including variance analysis and reporting. Supervise the finance team, providing guidance and support for professional development. Conduct regular audits of financial processes to identify areas for improvement.

Experience

Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within a HOTEL finance department. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly in relation to accounts payable. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly. A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are advantageous.
