Herbs Unlimited (Sandhutton Growers Ltd) is a family run company based at Sandhutton, 4 miles west of Thirsk. We grow, wash & pack fresh herbs and salads to a range of catering wholesale, foodservice and food manufacturing customers nationally.

```Job Summary```

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This is a key leadership role within the organization, requiring strong financial management skills and the ability to provide strategic guidance to the executive team.

```Responsibilities```

- Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting

- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management and external stakeholders

- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities to ensure the company's financial stability

- Collaborate with other departments to analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making

- Oversee the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations

- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation

- Stay up-to-date with accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance

```Qualifications```

- Hold an Accountancy qualification AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA

- CPA certification is highly desirable

- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures

- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks

- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
