The Financial Controller
role is a new addition to the Village Care Groups structure and is required due to recent growth and future growth planned.
This is a full time role (37.5 hours/week). You will be required to work during office hours and mainly from the Thornbury office so you can liaise with the Management Team.
You are responsible for all financial activity across the Group; providing information to our external accountants who process carer payroll, fortnightly invoicing, credit control and producing monthly management accounts. Other duties include managing expenses, reconciliation of payments, updating Sage and processing supplier invoices.
This team is a busy team that requires committed, driven and tenacious team members. The postholder must have previous experience in a similar role, have great attention to detail, a good understanding of Sage and be comfortable with credit control.
Job summary
The postholder is responsible for managing the company payroll, invoicing and credit control. The essential functions of the position are:
Managing accounting records
Preparation of month end accounts
Bank reconciliations
Posting all entries on Sage line 50
Maintain all balance sheet account reconciliations
Preparation of sales invoices after reconciling to Access system
Preparation of fortnightly payroll figures including reconciliation to Access system. This includes holiday pay and holiday pay accrual.
Month end payroll figure
Credit control and direct debit management
Checking and approving employee expense claims
Financial analysis - assessing performance and trends
Provide financial advice on business decisions
Work with external accountants
Forecasting
Supplier Invoicing, updating Sage & processing payment.
Exceptional customer service skills whilst dealing with Carers and or Clients
Ensuring the Group brand is positioned in a professional way
