Britplas is a leading commercial glazing specialist with a product portfolio that includes specialist windows, curtain walling, door systems and securing fencing. Operating across the UK and internationally, we work with NHS Trusts, Supervised Care Providers, main contractors, architects and other clients to design, manufacture and install glazing systems, including award-winning proprietary products and standard systems.

Britplas are seeking a Financial Controller to join their team who will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all financial reporting, and providing strategic insights to support the business's growth and operational efficiency. This position requires a strong leader with experience in managing finance teams and a solid understanding of both manufacturing and construction sectors.

About the role



You will need to have experience in a similar role, within the construction sector, and be ACCA or CIMA qualified.

Your key duties will include:

- Oversee the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

- Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring financial targets are met across the business.

- Ensure compliance with VAT, Corporation Tax, and other relevant UK regulations.

- Provide financial insights and analysis to senior leadership, supporting decision-making on cost control, project performance, and profitability.

- Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial liquidity, ensuring the business can meet its operational and strategic objectives.

- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

- Ensure accurate year-end reporting and assist with audits.

- Coordinate with project managers to provide financial insights that support project delivery, cost tracking, and margin management.

- Drive improvements in financial processes and controls to enhance business efficiency.
