Financial Insights Analyst

You will be responsible for delivering financial insights and reporting, including external research, benchmarking and modelling, to inform business decision making and drive business performance. Works in collaboration with PRS Analytics centre of excellence
Responsibilities:

As our Financial Insight Analyst, some of your day to day duties will include:

Key Responsibilities: Financial Insights Analyst

1. Financial Insights & Reporting

+ Deliver corporate KPI reporting by developing and tracking meaningful financial and non-financial business KPIs.
+ Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and make recommendations.
+ Own the data model for financial data, identifying and sourcing necessary data for insights and reporting.
+ Report on strategic confidential projects for the Head of Financial Insights.
+ Develop and maintain BI data models to support financial insights.
+ Prepare regular and ad hoc reports, summarizing findings and recommendations for action.
+ Support the TM1 (IBM Planning Analytics) system and its development roadmap, assisting the Finance Systems Analyst.

2. Scenario Modelling & Market Intelligence

+ Lead financial modelling, scenario planning, and forecasting.
+ Manage corporate finance modelling, including M&A activity, valuations, and funding strategies.
+ Conduct external (including international) market research, benchmarking, and trend analysis, such as external transactional pricing and supporting admin rate reviews.

3. Participation in PRS Analytics Community

+ Collaborate with the CIO Data team to ensure access to required data for financial reporting via the PRS data warehouse.
+ Promote optimal use of data, AI, and automation tools to enhance reporting.
+ Actively participate in the PRS Analytics Community, sharing knowledge and expertise across the organization.
+ Contribute to discussions on emerging trends in data analytics and their application to the PRS business.

Experience and Qualifications: Financial Insights Analyst (Band 3)

+ Finance-related experience, demonstrated by some or all of the following:
- Part-Qualified (PQ) or fully qualified accountancy qualification
- A finance-related degree
- Relevant finance work experience
- Ability to analyze and interpret a range of data, including both financial and non-financial data
+ Detailed knowledge of relevant data file formats and the ability to interrogate data in such files
+ Professional work experience in data science, business intelligence, or analytics
+ Experience using data science toolkits and visualization tools
+ Experience in stakeholder management
+ Strong communication and mathematical skills
+ Aptitude for writing reports with recommendations for Directors and Management Team
+ Excellent Microsoft Office skills at an advanced level

The Process

Our interview process for this role is simple:First stage interview will take place virtually on MS Teams. Second stage interview will take place in person at our London Bridge Hub.

We offer a hybrid working model, allowing employees to work from home up to three days a week.
