Job Description


My Client is seeking an experienced Financial Modelling Manager to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a motivated and collaborative professional eager to take a leading role in both project delivery and business development across infrastructure, energy, and large-scale financial projects.
As a Manager, you will lead project teams, support the development of client relationships, and help drive internal and external initiatives. This includes delivering high-quality modelling and advisory services while managing and mentoring junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple projects or programs, managing teams with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Execute projects to a high standard and conduct project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships; lead client negotiations and deliver client-focused solutions.
  • Manage project scoping, execution, and reporting on complex or high-risk engagements.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities and respond to client and market needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date professional accreditation and actively develop a client portfolio and network.
  • Ensure quality and profitability by managing commercial and contractual elements of each engagement.
  • Identify and communicate risks and provide mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to management team decisions including resource planning and allocation.
  • Promote employee wellbeing and escalate concerns when needed.
  • Oversee junior staff work to ensure accuracy and quality; provide coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities.
  • Track and manage time reporting for transparency and accountability.
  • Support onboarding of new team members.
  • Participate in performance management processes including setting objectives and conducting appraisals.

  • Are expert users of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Thrive in a team environment and are effective in collaborative communication.
  • Use research skills to identify and address new challenges or areas for improvement.
  • Have a right to work in the UK.
Experience & Qualifications
Desired experience:
  • 3-5 years of prior work in a financial consulting or advisory role.
  • Leadership in delivering large-scale financial or infrastructure projects., including the designing and implementing of financial operating models
  • Proven ability to develop and implement financial models.
  • Experience in business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Demonstrated team leadership and project ownership.
Preferred qualifications:
  • A 2:1 (or equivalent) undergraduate degree or higher.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACMA, ACCA) or similar.
