EIS Financial Services:

Teachers are at the heart of our business as the Educational Institute of Scotland (Teachers Union) formed EIS Financial Services in 1990 to provide a dedicated team of advisers giving impartial advice on a wide range of financial planning and helping Teachers understand the options available under Teachers\xe2\x80\x99 Superannuation. We remain the partner adviser for the Union members.

Purpose of the Role:

We are looking for a qualified Financial Planner (FP) to generate new business from provided leads as well as servicing an existing client bank. This will be on a permanent, employed basis.

The role holder will be responsible for providing accurate, professional and sound financial advice to both new and existing customers. The FP will be expected to work with the management of the company on the annual marketing strategy in order to reach sales and service targets set down by the Managing Director. Working as part of a team of advisers, a customer focused approach is required.

Location:

Working hours will be flexible with the ability to work remotely or office based (Glasgow) or a combination.

The role holder will be expected to conduct client meetings either via videocall or face to face and to provide webinars together with local union officials.

The role will service enquiries across the whole of Scotland.

What the Adviser is Expected to Do:

Become an expert in the Scottish teacher\xe2\x80\x99s superannuation schemes. (Full training will be provided by the firm to the successful candidate)

Work with schools, local authorities and the EIS Local Association Secretaries in the provision of retirement planning seminars, webinars, courses and presentations

Engage with and develop strong professional relationships with clients over the phone/videocall and in person and develop rapport so as to build an accurate understanding of their particular circumstances and financial objectives

Provide sound and professional financial advice to customers that is appropriate for their individual circumstances

Prepare suitability reports and recommendations for life, pension and investment options.

Maintain client data in \xe2\x80\x98Intelligent Office\xe2\x80\x99 in a timely and accurate manner.

Comply with the risk control, compliance and regulatory requirements that are relevant to this role.

The Level of Knowledge / Skills / Experience Required:

Previous experience working as a Financial Advisor/Planner is preferrable

Level 4 qualification is required

Excellent technical knowledge of protection, pensions and investments

Proven experience of building strong customer relationships over the phone/ via videocall and in person

Experience using the \xe2\x80\x9cIntelligent Office\xe2\x80\x9d CRM system in financial services is desirable but not essential
